Cecilia Gialdini

My PhD was funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and I had the amazing opportunity to work with the support and supervision not only of the staff at Ulster University but also at University Alliance. DTA3/COFUND extends doctoral training initiatives in Applied Biosciences for Health, Energy, and Social Policy internationally. During the three years of my PhD, I attended summer and winter schools, participated in a competition to describe my PhD in an image, and met some incredible people at these events, some of whom I am still friends with to this day. So, of course, when lovely Emma Cowley asked me to do an Alumni Spotlight, my answer was YES! Check out this chat with Emma where I talk about my experience post-PhD, my aspirations, and some pieces of advice from a ‘seasoned-ish’ researcher.
